How to Use Subject Keeper

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Background Remover?
The Background Remover always tries to detect the main subject automatically. Subject Keeper lets you specify exactly what to keep with a text prompt — great when there are multiple objects and you only want one.
Why does it take so long the first time?
The AI model (CLIPSeg) is about 300MB and downloads to your browser on first use. After that it's cached, so subsequent uses are much faster.
What prompts work best?
Short, specific nouns work best: "soccer ball", "person", "dog", "red cup", "tree". Avoid vague descriptions or full sentences.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs entirely in your browser. Your image never leaves your device.
